On the occasion of the coronation of Charles III, the media paid a lot of attention to how the guests in London presented themselves. First lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda opted for classic outfits from one of her favorite Polish designers.
On Saturday, May 6, Charles III was officially crowned King of Great Britain. Starting Friday, world leaders and foreign members of the royal family descended on London. As usual on such festive occasions, the media paid a lot of attention to how the guests were dressed.
President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda arrived in the UK on Friday. On that day, King Charles III held an exclusive pre-coronation reception. The First Lady of the Republic of Poland wore a deep red costume consisting of loose pants and a fitted jacket with ties. She wore pumps of the same color with it.
On the day of the coronation of the new British sovereign, Agatha Kornahuser-Duda also opted for solid-color styling. The First Lady was dressed in a cream knee-length dress, to which she matched a light-colored coat, beige stilettos and a light-colored handbag. The whole thing was topped with a bright hat with a veil. President Andrzej Duda chose a classic black suit and a white shirt with a gray tie.
Dorothy Goldpoint’s collaboration with the first lady
Both of the first lady’s creations were designed by Dorota Goldpoint. The designer combines Italian classics with French nonchalance, and the slogan of her brand is “clothes that smell of femininity.” The Pret-a-porter and Houte Couture collections are aimed specifically at mature women. Goldpoint notes that she relies on natural fabrics and sustainability in her designs. He runs an atelier in Warsaw.
Dorota Goldpoint is constantly working with the first lady. In 2019, she designed and sewed the black and white gown that Agata Kornhauser-Duda wore during an official visit to the United States. Three years ago, the first lady donated a jacquard evening gown she wore in Tokyo to the GOCC auction. The creation was tailored especially for one of the ceremonies associated with the enthronement of Emperor Naruhito of Japan. Goldpoint’s dresses are also worn by, among others.
