Fashion in the office

After a period of pandemonium, during which we all wore almost only sweatpants, I imagine it is difficult to return to the formal clothes that should be worn to the office. Clothes for the office, should be conservative, classic. Nowadays, suits are the most common choice for active women, they are comfortable, and in our latitude they are just warm, especially in autumn/winter. The hit of the season is the three-piece suit: a loose jacket, wide casual pants and a matching vest. Another hit of the season is the blouse/jacket, a less formal but equally elegant solution.

Does fashion for the office have to be boring?

Fashion for the office doesn’t have to be boring, although it can’t be extravagant. This season we have the long-awaited return of suits and skirts. Suits with small shapely jackets to a skirt around the knees, I personally really liked the length of 7/8, it slims the figure, this length of the skirt is good for women endowed with narrow calves and slim waists. Stronger, athletic legs look better in knee-length. To cheer up our office uniforms we can reach for colors, in addition to, navy blue, gray, graphite, or black, let’s try to see ourselves in the maroon color, so wildly fashionable this season. It looks most interesting with light gray and I like it in a monochromatic set. As for Friday’s styling, let’s remember that we are still in the office, so let’s go for smart casual, choose clothes like a sports jacket to chinos, long sleeve, and sports shoes. Or a turtleneck and a more casual plaid suit.

What to watch out for when choosing clothing for the office?

We spend most of our daily activities in the office and I would encourage you to ensure that blouses, shirts, t-shirts are sewn from natural fabrics, cotton, silk or linen. Clothing for the office should first of all be consistent with our image, tailored to the position we occupy and also our figure and age. Also important are appropriate shoes and accessories, the less the better. Classic pumps in muted colors should harmonize to complement our appearance. You should also be careful and restrained when it comes to jewelry, large, colorful earrings are great at a party, but at the office I would choose something small and subtle.

Material is one of the most important elements in making a purchase decision. Currently, most conscious customers check the compositions on the labels. We should make sure that natural fibers predominate, first for the sake of our health and also, very importantly, for the sake of our environment. Colors are very important. They say a lot about our personality and mood. A woman in red is perceived differently than in gray or navy blue. Restraint, aesthetically, naturally done makeup and manicure convey a lot of valuable information about us. That’s why it’s worth taking the time to build your own closet, which should include the so-called “must have” – classic closet items that fit the time-space in which we function. A lot of women, of all ages, come to me to prepare their must have, so as not to buy compulsively, in excess, to have only aces in the closet.

What to beware of

Clothing for the office should be elegant and neat, avoiding defiant or vulgar elements such as deep necklines, mini-skirts or shorts, high waists in skirts or dresses. Transparency although very fashionable this season I would leave for private follies. Employees of advertising agencies or more artistic professions can afford more freedom, this is rather required by the personality of the artist. The office should be a place where we put our competence in the foreground. Femininity can be expressed in different ways, the important thing is a consistent message-who I am and how I want to be perceived.
