The presidential couple from Italy, President Sergio Mattarelli and his wife Laura Mattarelli, arrived in Poland. As part of the visit, First Lady Agata Duda traveled with her Italian counterpart to the Royal Lazienki Park in Warsaw, and over lunch the two discussed aid initiatives for Ukrainians residing in Poland, Italy and Ukraine. One of the major issues raised during the conversation was the issue of refugee women; the first ladies want Ukrainian women to be self-reliant. The ladies also discussed aid to the people of Ukraine, including medical aid through humanitarian transports or training for health and life-saving specialists, reads the president.pl. – The First Ladies of Poland and Ukraine have initiated a project to exchange experience between Polish and Ukrainian medics. Ninety Ukrainian doctors and specialists have so far been trained in our country on medical evacuation by air and comprehensive medical care of burn patients. Preparations are underway to begin another series of training courses in rehabilitation, combat stress and psychotraumatology, the President’s Office reported on its website.
