Polish designers are increasingly appreciated abroad. Dorota Goldpoint, who has long been recognized by clients from other countries, is among this group. She is 53 years old, and among the fans of her creations there is no shortage of celebrities with whom she is privately friends. Among them are Katarzyna Żak, Joanna Kurowska and Anna Iberszer.

The Pole has long run a boutique in Dubai. Her collections have won praise from the most important clan in the United Arab Emirates, she told a Hawk Post reporter. She revealed how the royal family there made contact with her:
When running a business or creating something, a little luck is still needed. And I think I’m fortunate that I meet people on my path who simply help me, put me in touch with me. One of the people who saw me in Dubai, because I had already had seven shows there, put me in touch with the royal family – with the sheikh, his wife, who became very interested in my projects. We met, she chose one costume, an outfit for the wedding, and we have been together ever since. I dress her, dress her family, friends, acquaintances. The thing about this market is that if they trust a person and see that what he shows is original, it is such a lasting love.
What is the process of preparing creations for members of the royal family?
There are limitations here. As we know, these public figures, especially from of the royal family, they tend not to show up at commercial events, so even though the sheikh’s wife was at my last show, I couldn’t post on any social media, because there are, however, certain requirements of such protocol. Dubai, on the other hand, has started to open up a bit at the moment, and women have started to open up to more revealing dresses.
Dorota told what weddings are like in an Arab country:
As we know, there weddings are held in such a way that women play in a separate room, men in a separate room, so the groom enters at midnight with his brother, father, there is a joint photo with the bride and then these women cover themselves with abayas, then the groom takes the bride, and the guests continue to play. Of course, as soon as the groom comes out, the ladies take off their abayas and have gorgeous gowns. They are very fond of corset dresses. There are two lines – one is just corseted, very close to the body, and the other is such a princess style. They are very fond of classics, although they are increasingly willing to introduce some avant-garde clothing. They really loved my colorful abayas, actually I don’t exactly call them abayas, they are more like such coats for dresses, but they liked them a lot.
